- Though still unmistakably descended from its iconic, military-bred predecessor, the second-generation W463 (sold 2019–2024) was thoroughly reengineered beneath its widened, brutally handsome bodywork. These upgrades significantly improved on-road refinement and handling, while hallmark features like full-time 4WD and triple locking differentials ensured it remained a force off-pavement.
